Yes, it is the best time. At least, players and managers from teams from other states can come and watch you play, perhaps scout also.

1xbet Tournament Unites Youths, Curbs Violence in Community

Taju Akanni, a passionate football enthusiast and elder brother of former Super Eagles player Wahidi Akanni, praised the 1xbet tournament for its impact on Lagos' football scene. "This is grassroots football at its finest!" he exclaimed in an interview with SportsBoom.com. "It's a fantastic way to discover new talents and nurture them."

Akanni commended 1xbet's support, saying, "What's remarkable is the support from brands. We rarely see them investing in grassroots football like this." He noted that in Nigeria, opportunities often depend on connections, but this initiative provides a level playing field. "It's a chance for talented young footballers from humble backgrounds to achieve their dreams without any strings attached."

Akanni highlighted the tournament's broader impact, saying, "It's not just about football. This tournament has brought unity among youths in this community and beyond, giving them a sense of purpose and belonging." He also noted that the tournament has inadvertently helped reduce violence in the community due to the collective involvement of youths.

Player’s perspectives

Speaking with different players, many of them concluded that the tournament gave them the platform to express their skills and potential.

Meanwhile, Clinton Lawani, an amateur player for Ilupeju FC in Ekiti who participated in the tournament, told SportsBoom of how the football competition has granted him exposure and privilege to top agents. Clinton, a goalkeeper, shone and became favourites of home fans because of his outstanding performances that earned him the man of the match award twice in the competition.

“The platform is a good platform to showcase our talents, for us young and upcoming talents. So far so good, it’s been good for me entirely as a player. It makes me attain a stage of “you’ve been trying all these whiles.”

Another player, Thompson, who created multiple assists said the tournament has been a proper pre-season platform for him seeing that he's hoping to sign a professional contract soon.
